How to build a chopper in a day

Almost a year after totally destroying his Triumph Bonneville engine on a ride down to Biarritz for the Wheels & Waves event, James of K/K puts the repaired, cleaned and painted chop back together in day… with a bit help from his friends.

Adam Yauch

Today is the first anniversary of the passing of Adam Yauch, aka MCA of The Beastie Boys.

I was lucky enough to have met and photographed him a little while beforehand.

I wanted a portrait with a different feel from the usual Beastie Boy images as the article for Little White Lies magazine was about him as a director.

I was surprised and honoured when this portrait was used at the Madison Square Garden tribute and then on the Beastie Boys Facebook tribute.

Adam ‘MCA’ Yauch, 1964 – 2012. RIP.

Big thanks to Drogo Michie for inviting me along and to Co-Built for letting me have a go on one of their awesome bikes.

If you never tried this, I highly recommend it- you wouldn’t believe how much fun it is to go fast, turn left.
